Many tea drinkers are familiar with China's Gunpowder Green Tea, but interest is increasing in Golden Gunpowder Black Tea, a refined, well balanced tea with large leaves and golden tips.

Golden Gunpowder Black Tea is produced only in Fujian province in smaller tea gardens north of the Min River that bisects this major tea-producing region. In fact, black tea was the first type of tea to be exported from this area. As time went by, however, Fujian's black teas were eclipsed as oolong and jasmine teas grew in popularity.

The unique flavor nuances of this black tea along with its historical connection in Fujian province have prompted a resurgence of this pleasantly smooth tea.
