Royal Yellow Tea
A rare tea that will excite tea enthusiasts with its wonderfully complex taste and aroma. The brewed tea has a golden color and a smooth, slightly sweet flavor with medium body and light astringency. Its taste and aroma is different than green or white tea.
Yellow tea leaves go through a unique process called Steam Oxidation. After the tea leaves are picked, withered and heated, they are then laid out and covered with a damp cloth for a period of 4 to 10 hours. This process triggers slight oxidation, giving the tea leaves a yellow tinge. The leaves are then dried at a high temperature for about 10-20 minutes.
